Offline Message

The Offline Message setting enables a button that users can click when live support is unavailable. You can customize the button label (e.g., “Leave a message”) and choose what happens next: redirect users to a custom link, execute custom code, or display a default contact form. If the contact form is selected, you can specify an email address to receive notifications containing the userโ€™s submitted information. This ensures users can still communicate their needs even when live representatives are not available.

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Open your AI agent that you want to activate Offline Messages for
  2. Navigate to the Behavior menu in the sidebar on the left and scroll down slightly to find the Offline Message option. Activate it.
  3. Set up the text for the Call to Action button in the ‘Button label for offline message‘ field and choose a suitable ‘Offline message option‘ from the dropdown menu
  4. Don’t forget to provide the email address where you want to receive the information submitted by users if you select a feedback form
  5. Save settings
