You can upload nearly any written content into your OmniMind: blogs, reference documents, web pages, product pages, video hosting, news articles – the list is endless.

Supported formats:

Content can be presented in the following formats:

• PDF, JSON, SRT, CSV, EPUB, RTF, TXT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX, HTML, XHTML;
• YouTube Video subtitles, Vimeo Video subtitles;
• URL/web page (only the text from that web page is included).

In all cases, the data must be ‘readable,’ meaning that if you can highlight and copy it, OmniMind can read the content. OmniMind will extract any text from the website specified in the URL but cannot recognize text within images, the images themselves, or diagrams. The best formats to use are txt, csv, or docx, followed by URL and PDF. For the best experience with OmniMind, it is recommended to use these formats.

The following formats will be available to download soon::

• Content with password protection (websites and documents)
• Databases (including SQL databases)
• Audio, mp3, video, or mp4 files
• Scanned documents (if they have not undergone optical character recognition, OCR): OmniMind currently does not have OCR (optical character recognition) functionality and cannot “read” documents that cannot be read by machines. A simple way to check if your content is suitable for OmniMind is to try selecting the text with the cursor and copying it to another place. If this cannot be done, then OmniMind is likely unable to do so as well.
• Code: You can upload code if it is in a supported format; however, if it is large code fragments, the results may not be optimal.
• Emails: We do not have direct integrations with email providers such as Gmail or Outlook, and we do not accept emails in their original format. However, you can upload emails in PDF format (or in one of the supported formats).
  

Automatic Content Updates

Keep your content always in sync with your OmniMind using automatic updates. Automatic updates will update the content on all web pages that you have loaded into your OmniMind. The frequency of updates depends on your plan (see the link page for details of your plan). You can also skip waiting for auto-update and update the content manually by clicking on the update button for this content to instantly update it.
